Zashiki rooms are private areas that are decorated in the traditional Japanese design with attention to harmony pure and simple, and the balanced interplay of forms, materials, and colors. In the Japanese custom, shoes are taken off upon entering to preserve the sanctity and cleanliness of the room. Our Zashiki room is ideal for dinner business meetings as well as memorable group functions such as holiday parties and family reunions. Since the atmosphere at Sushi Two is more American than the Shadyside location, a deep pit has been carved to accomodate the legs of diners who sit on the floor. This magnificent floor has been custom built from Japanese pine.
